0.5teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
to tastefresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Start by preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) to ensure optimal cooking.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with the olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if you desire some heat. Use your hands or a spatula to toss everything together until the Brussels sprouts are thoroughly coated with the mixture.
Next, sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the seasoned Brussels sprouts and toss again gently to ensure the cheese is evenly distributed throughout the sprouts.
Carefully arrange the seasoned Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket, placing them in a single layer for even cooking. If your air fryer is small, you may need to work in batches to avoid overcrowding.
Air fry the Brussels sprouts for about 12-15 minutes. During cooking, shake the basket halfway through to promote even browning and cooking. Keep an eye on them to achieve that perfect golden-brown color.
Once the Brussels sprouts are cooked to a crispy perfection, remove them from the air fryer. Finish the dish by garnishing with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness before serving.
Notes
For extra heat, add more crushed red pepper flakes.
