In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped parsley, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if you prefer some heat).
Gently mix all the ingredients until they are just combined. Take care not to overmix the mixture, as this can make the meatballs tough; you want them to be tender and juicy.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
With clean hands, scoop out portions of the turkey mixture and roll them into 1-inch meatballs. Arrange the formed meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. When the oil is shimmering, add half of the meatballs to the skillet. Sear the meatballs for 4-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides.
Transfer the browned meatballs back to the baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining meatballs, if necessary. Once all are browned, place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the meatballs for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
After baking, remove the meatballs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. If desired, warm up some marinara sauce to serve alongside.
Notes
Serve with marinara sauce and garnish with parsley for a delightful presentation.
