1teaspoonfresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
1teaspoonsmoked paprika
to tasteSalt and freshly cracked black pepper
for garnishFresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
Start by patting the steak cubes dry thoroughly using a paper towel. This step is essential for achieving a perfect sear.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, season the steak cubes generously with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Toss well to ensure each piece is evenly coated with the seasoning.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter until it starts to sizzle. Carefully add the seasoned steak cubes in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes on one side without moving them. This helps to develop a delicious crust.
Once a crust has formed, flip the steak bites and sear the other side for an additional 2-3 minutes for medium-rare doneness. Cook longer if you prefer your steak more well done.
Reduce the heat to medium and add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, and thyme to the skillet.
Stir the garlic and butter around the seared steak, allowing the fragrant garlic to infuse its flavor. Cook for approximately 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent the garlic from burning.
When the garlic is fragrant and lightly golden, remove the skillet from heat. Garnish the steak bites with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
