Ingredients
3
cans
refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz each)
3
medium
apples, peeled and diced
1
cup
brown sugar, packed
1/2
cup
granulated sugar
1
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
1/2
cup
unsalted butter
1/2
cup
caramel sauce
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
1/2
cup
chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease a bundt pan with cooking spray or butter.
In a mixing bowl, combine the diced apples with the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Mix thoroughly and set aside.
Open the cans of biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters. Toss these biscuit pieces with the brown sugar.
Layer half of the coated biscuit pieces at the bottom of your prepared bundt pan.
Add half of the apple mixture on top of the biscuit layer. Sprinkle half of the walnuts if using.
Repeat the layering process with the remaining biscuit pieces, apple mixture, and walnuts.
Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in the caramel sauce and vanilla extract until smooth.
Drizzle the butter-caramel mixture evenly over the layered biscuits and apples in the bundt pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the monkey bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the warm monkey bread just before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with caramel sauce for dipping and garnish with cinnamon or walnuts for added texture.
