2mediumapples, peeled, cored, and diced into small chunks
1/3cuppacked brown sugar
1teaspoonground cinnamon
1tablespoonfresh lemon juice
1tablespoonunsalted butter, melted
1/4cupgranola (optional, for added crunch)
to tastepowdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C), ensuring it reaches the right temperature for baking.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, packed brown sugar, ground cinnamon, fresh lemon juice, and melted unsalted butter. Stir thoroughly until all the apple pieces are evenly coated in the sweet mixture.
On a clean and flat surface, carefully unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles along the perforated lines.
Take a heaping spoonful of the apple mixture and place it at the wide end of each triangle. If you’re opting for a crunchy texture, sprinkle a little granola over the apple filling.
Gently roll the dough starting from the wide end toward the pointed tip, ensuring that the apple filling is fully enclosed. Place each rolled bite seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and puffed.
After baking, carefully remove the bites from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Just before serving, dust them generously with powdered sugar for an elegant finish.
Notes
Serve warm on a decorative platter and drizzle with caramel sauce for extra indulgence.
